custom 600 917.99500
HELP. I have acquired a custom 600 tractor and got it running but cant for the life of me figure how the belt tensionor works with the pedal. [tractor was apart when i got it}. from what i get off web sites the belt is the proper length. maybe im missing a part, but dont think so. although it seems like it should have another pulley.any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a idler pulley on the side of the frame, and one on a bracket above the motor pulley

The small tractors like the Custom 6 and 600 did not have the flat idler the daigram is showing. 3 pullys not 4.
That is why you don't see any wear marks.

Re: custom 600 917.99500
I think that is the idler mounted on the clutch bracket.
On my Custom 6 the belt runs from the trans to the engine, then to the clutch idler and right back to the trans. It has no flat idler mounted to the frame like the bigger tractors do.

Custom 600
To dicktato:
If you want to contact me, I have pictures taken from my custom 600 that may help you with the belt orientation. I don't know how or if I can attach to this site. May have to be done through e-mail.
