moldboard vs foot plow Empty moldboard vs foot plow

Post  nodigity October 29th 2009, 8:48 pm

I picked up a foot plow with other implements, but had not seen the foot plow talked about on sears sights, I do , however, see the moldboard plow quite often and the owners seem quite proud of them. So my question is whats the pro's and cons with these two items?
Thanks
Mike

The moldboard plow is generally used for turning sod to open a garden. It's designed to cut the soil (turf) and roll it over so the vegetation dies under the dirt.

The foot plow is more useful opening a row to plant seeds or bulbs in an already established garden.
