transmission pulley removal

Good morning to all. I have a problem with my SS12 tractor ser#917.25311. The center of the transmission pulley is broken. When i tried to remove the pulley from the shaft,it will not come out past the frame of the tractor. Is there a way to slide the main shaft to the left or do I need to pull the transmission? Thank you for any help and ideas. Rick

sorry man I had the same issue with one of mine and yes your going to have to pull transmission and make sure the key way is lined up correctly
