LTV 10 Empty LTV 10

I was just given a Craftsman LTV 10. I got it running just fine, but there are two issues that I need to look into.

1. The deck needs to be leveled. As I haven't yet really looked under it to see how it mounts, I am just asking advice from anyone who has done it.

2. The tractor "surges" when it is in forward gear. Not the engine, but the transmission seems to be slipping in and out of gear somehow. I believe it has something to do with the variator drive. Any ideas?

I spent a little time knocking around the net and found a FREE manual online for this tractor. Thanks to those who still post these things free.
