I can find NO DIFFERENCE between the spec for the 8hp and the spec for the 10hp Tecumseh Motors...Where do two horses com from?

The difference is the air baffle. On the HH80 it is part #32478. The opening on the 8HP air baffle is smaller than on the 10HP version. It restricts the air flow to the intake.

I cut the cut out the opening on mine.

Mike,

I see what you mean...The part numbers (on the baffle) are different from the 8hp to the 10hp...I'll have to compare the two this spring.
