snowblower question

just wondering if i need a different engine pulley to mount a snowblower on my gt 18? i have a single stage blower from a suburban and am in the process of repowering the tractor with a 18 horse opposed briggs.

the pully that came on the orignal engine had all the pully sizes you need. as long as the shaft size on the new engine is the same you can just pull the pully stack off your old engine and put it on the new..there are manuals on line for that tractor that will tell you whic pully on the stack is for a snow blower.

Just make sure it's the same shaft size

I think the briggs has a smaller shaft then the Onan. I have a pully set that will fit the briggs

i already got a sleeve and installed the original onan pulley on the briggs,hopefully i will have it rewired and running tommorow.

i will try and post pictures when i,m done. it still needs alot of work,but for now i just want to get it up and running. i only paid 40 dollars for it minus the engine,it did come with a nice mower deck and rear lift wiring and switch.
