TIRE DRY ROT & LEAKY TIRES

HI EVERONE
DECIDED TO RAMBLE ON AN OLD SUBJECT OF OLD TUBELESS TIRES NOT HOLDING AIR, WELL THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE OLD TO LEAK AIR THROUGH THE SIDE WALLS, HAVE A TWO PART STORY HERE. BOUGHT A FAIRLY NEW USED SET OF 4 TIRES OFF A JD 318 UP IN ATLANTA, LOOKED GREAT, LITTLE WEAR, MOUNTED UP AND ONE REAR LEAKED DOWN SOON, FOUND A SMALL WIRE STAPLE THROUGH THE SIDE WALL, BLADE PROBABLY SLUNG IT, NO PROBLEM WILL JUST PATCH, AFTER THE SECOND PATCH STILL LEAK, GAVE UP AND TUBED IT. A WHILE BACK BOUGHT A ATV 12" TIRES, SAW ONE HAD A PLUG, DON'T LIKE PLUGS IN TIRES, HAD THE GUY PULL PLUG AND PATCH, MOUNTED, LEAKED DOWN AT PLUG HOLE, ANOTHER PATCH, SAME, PUT LARGER PATCH OVER THE SMALL PATCH, STILL LEAK, SO I HAD AN OLD TUBE OF PERMATEX GASKET MAKER, SMEARED A GOOD LAYER ALL AROUND THE PATCH AREA, LET DRY AND ALL IS GOOD, BOTTOM LINE THE TIRE INNER SEALING LAYER OF RUBBER IS CONDOM THIN, WHEN SCUFFING TO APPLY PATCH YOU RUB OFF ALL RUBBER AND THE AIR GOES RIGHT THROUGH THE CORDS, A POSSIBILITY IS ONLY USE A CLEANING COMPOUND CALLED LIQUID SCUFF, SO AS TO NOT BREAK THE SEALING LAYER, OK IF YOU ARE STILL READING, THE REST OF THE STORY, IN YEARS PAST WE GOCART RACED, ALL TUBELESS TIRES LEAKED AIR A BIT, NOT ENOUGH TO BE A PROBLEM AT RACE DAY, BUT WOULD LEAKE FLAT OVER A COUPLE OF DAYS, NO RIM LEAK, DON'T KNOW WHERE THE IDEA CAME FROM, WE WERE MOUNTING UP A SET OF TIRES, JUST BEFORE PUTTING AIR IN HE TOOK UP HIS CAN OF COKE, POURED IN A COUPLE OF OUNCES IN EACH TIRE, SHOT THE AIR TO IT, SHOOK IT AROUND, NEVER NO MORE AIR SEPAGE, MOST OF MY RESTORE SEARS STILL HAVE THE OLD SEARS TIRES ON THEM WITH VARIOUS AMOUNT OF TIRE AIR LEAKS, SOAPED SOME TO FIND AIR COMING THROUGH THE SIDEWALL, GOT ME SOME PEPSI COLA'S BROKE DOWN ONE SIDE OF EACH TIRE AND POURED IN A PEPSI, AIRED UP ROLLED AROUND TO WET ALL SIDES, FOR A FEW DAYS SAW SOME SMALL WET SPOTS ON TIRES, NOW A YEAR OR MORE LATER TIRES STILL HAVE NOT LEAKED DOWN, IF THAT DON'T WORK JUST WASH OUT AND TUBE IT, NOT LIKE SLIME MESSING UP EVER THING. THE SYRUP DOES THE SEALING. THINK NEXT TIME I WILL WATER DOWN SOME CANE SYRUP AND TRY. OH BY THE WAY WE WON 7 WKA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP'S ON COKED TIRES.
YALL HAVE A GOOD DAY
JIMMY
