Removing head from OHV 160

Can the head be pulled off the Engine or does the entire OHV unit have to conme off. I found you cant get to all the head bolts... one in the very from is impossible to get to with the OHV unit in place. Any suggestions? Thanks, Buzz

Buzz this is telemon1 in ansewer to your question. Yes remove the over head valve cover then you can conpress the valve springs an remove the clip that hold the valve Also you can remove the pvc valve guide an o rings make sure when you remove the valves you mark which one is ex valve an intake valve. Then you should be able to remove the head . You will need a flex socket or one you can angel to remove a couple of the head bolts. Then you are off an running. If you need I have all the parts for a compllte overhaul.Every thing but the head gasket I used it on mine.
