1970 Suburban 12 Wiring Problems
I just got a new starter generator, and wired up my tractor to match the diagrams and something is wrong, I hope it is just the wiring and not the regulator, which I am going to check. I would really appreciate if any of y'all that have an old suburban 12 that starts and charges correctly to send me or post a diagram of how yours is wired. Thanks

Re: 1970 Suburban 12 Wiring Problems
You will need your Model number to find the correct schematic.

A key for the diagram
Jay, this looks exactly like my wiring but is really hard for me to makeout which terminal the wires are going to. If you could make it a litle larget I might do better but I will attempt it with what you have hare, It's much better than what I had wich was nothing. Thanks and Happy New Year.

Better View
I think I can make the switch wiring out now and if I can find the marking on my switch I should be ok.

Ignition Switch Question
I can't find markings on the terminals of my switch, my wiring is the same as the diagram posted here and I feel sure the top terminal is A because it has a wire going to center post of regulator and another going to the Gen light, I believe the bottom terminal is B because it goes to the plus side of battery, both top and bottom are the heavier terminals, to the right facing the back of switch are the two smaller terminals being S and M but I'm not sure which is which, can anyone help. My guess is the next one down from the top is S and the next one is M but it would be niceto know for sure. Thanks for any help you can give.

Just Want To Feel Confident
The wiring diagram on this thread for the 1970 Suburban 12 matches mine, after cleaning the ignition switch I did find markings for wires so that problem is solved. All the wiring is here even if all isn't in the right spots except for the wire that seems to join the one comming from the S on the ignition switch and going to what I supose is the A on the starter/gen, this wire goes on to what looks like an A or G on the regulator.Am I correct? If not please lend a hand and I will try not to bug you guys for a couple days, lol
