rear axle seal Empty rear axle seal

does anyone know right off the size of the rear axle seal ? i measure 26x38mm and guessing 7mm for the width , with all the rain here i'm mowing every other day or every 3 days and just wanted to have a seal in hand before taking it apart . thanks > tim

HI TIM
Rear axel seal for what, if you are talking suburban to make it simple one with axel key takes one # and one with splined axel takes a different # available at any seal and bearing store. Keyed axel seal Timken #472311 and Splined axel seal Timken #471224, any store can cross reference these numbers. Very simple to replace.

thanks , Dbl SS , went brain dead for a second there , '68 SS12 , been a long time since i changed seals and i can't make out the numbers anymore , thanks again for the answer to my question and hope your knee has healed up good > tim
