Well, not sure now if I really have a '66 sub 10. When looking for id tags today, only found them only on the 3 pt lift, the starter/regulator and the motor. No tractor id, unless it is the same as the motor #.

The motor is marked 143.559012, ser # 5081-12519.

I am confused now.  I had received a list of numbers from the previous owner, who had gotten it from the original owner.

Starter #110980-5019 matches list.

Casting # on left side of motor 19 - 0 - 76 matches list

The lift # is 2604?.

also need a part number for the points

quite confused

thanks

kevin

TO START A FEW PHOTOS WOULD HELP, WHAT WAS THE ORIGINAL PAINT COLOR DOWN UNDER ALL THE TOP LAYERS OF PAINT. YOUR ENGINE MOD.#143-559012 DON'T SHOW UP IN MY LISTING, BUT IF THE MOD.# IS 143-599012 YOU HAVE A 10HP. TECUMSEH, PROBABLY A YEAR CASTING # ON THE BLOCK,IF ANY ONE HAS POINTS FOR SALE THEY WILL KNOW WHAT THEY FIT, YOU COULD CHECK THE ID. MODEL NUMBERS ON THE LEFT TOP OF THIS SITE HOME PAGE, THINK THE 10HP CAME ABOUT IN 1967 NOT SURE.
HANG IN THERE
