SS/14 Springs.....

I am rebuilding an old ss/14 and can not figure out where the belt tensioner springs hook to. I know where they go on the tensioner itself but what the other end hooks to I am lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

All of my sears SS and ST models have a large cotter pin in the area behind the side plate (pulley side). The eye wears out after time and the pin may have fallen out. There is a hole back there where it was and the pin is easy to replace. Setting the spring is another matter but be persistant and you will get it done.
