Yellow colored Craftsman info.

I have a 6 horsepower craftsman tractor that is yellow with a white hood and motor. Does anyone know an estimated year that it may have been manufactured? I have not been able to find any pictures of any yellow craftsman tractors. Does anyone know of any other way that I can date this tractor? Thank you.

By your description you are talking about a lawn tractor. The GT's didn't use the Craftsman name in that time period.

Not enough info to give you a year. There was two different grill styles. I will say 1968-1974, because I can't remember the exact year they went to 7HP.

If you will post the 143 number off of the engine, I can date it that way.

The model number on the engine is 143.626242. Also I don't know if it helps it says craftsman stamped into the cast iron front end above the headlights. Thank you for your help I'm grateful.

143.626242 Would make it a 1972. 143.6 6 is the decade. 6 is the 70's,5 is the 60's etc. next number is year 2. So thet makes it a 1972.
