My 10 hp tecumseh " Bear" ran, but something did not sound right inside; disassembled and found oil slinger had broke off from connecting rod; pulled it out; before I order a new connecting rod, I need to know the standard diameter of the crank so I can be sure of a correct fit. Does anyone know this or where can I find it? the engine # 143.060812.

I could not find #143-060812 in Tecumseh listing, but did find #143-608012 which is a 8 HP. engine, 8-10-12 HP. engines have the same 1.3750 crank.diameter.I think you will find the rods to be different.

the bore and stroke are the same with the HH80 and HH100 engines. standard bore 3.312 / 3.313 standard piston diameter 3.308 / 3.310 and as stated crank diameter 1.375 / 1.3755. maximum rod diameter 1.3765 > tim
