Please help identify
New member here, recently bought a tractor with a 3 point hitch and several implements, but, I don't know what I have.
The numbers I have found turned out to be Sears part numbers for the implements.
The seller knew very little about it, other than the fact that it had an engine swap, originally had a Tecumseh 7 HP, and now has a B&S 8HP.
What I do know:
Has no hood or front cover, so no help there
Dashboard casting is aluminum, all else is steel
Has (I think) a 4 speed manual transmission
Tranny grinds badly when it's shifted
No tags, no stamped numbers anywhere I've looked,except as below.
Was able to bring up part of the shift pattern plate & found the # 1151 stamped on it, very small numbers,the shift pattern plate is aluminum with photo printed letters and numerals.
Runs great and has plenty of power.
What I don't know:
Most everything else!
Can post or send pictures if they would help.
Any help, suggestions or information will be greatly appreciated.

It's most likely a Custom 7. The 1151 might be a serial number or part of the serial number.
The transmissions will grind if you don't let them spin down, or if the belt keeps moving with the clutch disengaged. It is not a synchronized transmission.

Thanks for the reply and information. I checked the site and the closest I could find was the 1968 Custom 7.
Don't want to bug you with too many questions, but, can you give me some suggestions as to where I could find the model number, and, where I might look for a manual?
