Electric Hitch won't go down

The electric hitch raises fine, but only clicks when I try to lower it. Any ideas on what the problem is and how to fix it?

When it happened to me, the top pin under the black plastic protector tube came out. Slipped the pin back in, and a new hair pin to lockit, and back to work. Hope yours is as simple. Grant

I am having the same problem with my 3-poinyt electric hitch - just got it so i dont know if it was dissembled... does anyone have a manual or photos?
