new tires
Hi,
I need to replace my Suburban’s tires, and want to maintain the ride hight.
I am fairly sure of of the fronts:
current:
allstate 4.80/ 4.00 - 8 2 ply rating
replacement:
http://www.millertire.com/products/l...b-front-4-ply/
The rear I can not find, I don’t know if this size is no longer made, or I just am not looking in the right places.
I currently have:
allstate 7.5 - 12 2ply rating
I’ll be keeping these on their rims, I have a second set of rims for the new tires, I wanted something with traction for plowing in the dirt, pulling stumps and the like. I was thinking AG or the similar type that I hear are put on many CUTs stock, something called ‘industrial’ I think?
I just can’t find -anything- in 7.5 -12 I’d like to keep as much of my ground clearance as I can, can anyone point me in the right direction for a new set of rear tires?
Thanks

Re: new tires
Call Miller tire, those guys are real helpful and good to deal with. I have the R4 tires on my Kubota and they are no good for traction. imo if you want traction chains are the way to go. Snow or mud they will out dig any rubber tires. They even work good on turf tires since the chains stay out of the lugs. I put Ag tires on the front of my sears, it looks funny but the edge of those tires dig in and turn great. Bought them from miller tire a few years ago.
