SS18 PAINT COLOR Empty SS18 PAINT COLOR

I have the opportunity to purchase an ss18 pristine condition. Beautiful tractor. The color is blue. Can anyone tell me if Sears ever painted some blue. I can't find one in pictures. Although this is a beautiful tractor, I want an original color. All i have seen are a yellow color. Appreciate help on this.

SS18 PAINT COLOR Empty SS18 Paint Color

No Roper never painted a SS18 blue, simply scrape around in hidden places and you will find yellow under the blue paint, the best give away for spotting a repaint is bolt heads & nuts having paint on them, factory painted all parts separate and assembled, if you take a few parts off you will find places that are not blue, all of my restorations have parts painted separate and assembled with new bolts nuts & washers, go ahead and use new cat yellow.
