SS16 clogged
I recently started using my dads ss16 and i love it.....bad news is it sat for close to 5 years and the fuel tank is filthy. As long as i keep it topped off i have no troubles but when i get below half it cannot pump enough fuel to keep up with all the debris in the way. Anyone know the best way to get the tank off from under the seat without makin a huge mess of fuel everywhere?

Re: SS16 clogged
sup blud, as with my dad's 16/6, i would siphon as much as i could out of the tank first then unhooked the fuel line at the pump or filter, put a bolt in the fuel line to block any fuel and pulled it out all one piece with the fuel tank just my thought good luck. / TKW

Re: SS16 clogged
Thanks TKW, thats pretty much what i ended up doing, then i threw some rocks in the tank and gave it a good shake to get all the crud out of there.....runs strong as ever now
