snowblower parts
I have a sears canada snowblower model 842260052.
if you google the model # there is a searspartsdirect parts list but nothing is still made.
It has a bad Ujoint in the drive shaft part # 9177 but it is no longer available.
I think my local auto parts store could get me one if I had all the dimensions but I dont want to tear it apart untill the snow is gone. Anyone have the dimensions or another way of getting the proper part? Thanks RB

Re: snowblower parts
After digging around I determined there is no way to service this style U joint so I went to my local Family Farm and home and bought a pair of yokes and a u joint. You need a 3/4" shaft with keyway yoke and a square 3/4 x 7/8 yoke and a u joint and then you remove the square shaft from the old yoke and weld It in the new. Now that end of my shaft is serviceable. Let it snow!
